About Hebrew High

Our Hebrew High program offers our 7th-12th grade students a top-notch educational experience and meaningful opportunities to create friendships and memories they will cherish for a lifetime.  More than a high school program, we are a kehillah - a community of bright, committed, young hearts and minds - dedicated to building a vibrant Jewish future for the next generation.

Details: Our sessions begin Sunday, September 14 and continue (excluding Jewish Holidays and school breaks) through May, 2025. The program runs from 10am to 12pm. Students will have a break between the two periods to hang out with their friends and grab something tasty to nosh on. The cost for each student will be $1,075.00.

Building on the strong foundation of our existing high school programs, students will be enriched and challenged by a diverse curriculum that is both foundational and creative. Together with our rabbis, they will explore core areas of Jewish identity and belief.  Thanks to our Israel experts, students will emerge as strong advocates for our homeland, knowledgeable about her history, culture, and spiritual significance. Our innovative programs will help them trace their family histories and genealogies. They will choose from a variety of elective classes that will speak to their own particular interests in the arts, athletics, digital media, and popular culture. Our teens will change lives by serving our city’s most vulnerable individuals through hands-on tikkun olam opportunities throughout the Metroplex. Special programming allows them to share time with leaders and change agents who will help them to shape the future of Jewish Dallas.

**Beginning in 9th grade, students have the opportunity to work as a madrich/a (assistant) in the religious school classes, and serve as a role model for younger students. Hebrew High students will earn money for the time they work as a madrich/a, which will be put towards the cost of the March of the Living trip.

Anshai Torah Hebrew High students take part in unforgettable trips. In 8th grade, they will learn about combating social and economic injustice, and southern Jewish culture and history in the Lower Ninth Ward and French Quarter of New Orleans.

In 10th grade, they will walk the path of their great-grandparents through the gateways of Ellis Island to the streets of the Lower East Side and experience the newest innovations in Jewish communal life on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

As seniors, they will join their peers from across the country and across the world on the March of the Living, reenacting the rebirth of our people from the ghettos and the gas chambers to the streets and the sanctuaries of our holiest city in our promised land.

The students will share all of these experiences not just as individuals, but as a united Anshai Torah teen community.  They will be guided not just by their own teachers and rabbis, but also enriched and inspired by the full complement of rabbinic and educational talent that we are so blessed to have in our region.
